Vikram A. Sarabhai Community Science Centre (VASCSC) is a pioneering Community Science Centre, established in the 1960s by the eminent space scientist, Dr Vikram A. Sarabhai (Father of the Indian Space Programme) to encourage scientific thinking and innovative science teaching for the past 50 years. Its mandate is to promote among students, teachers and the public an understanding of fundamental concepts involved in science education through different processes of inquiry. (website)
