Description/notes
The National Association of Professional Environmentalist (NAPE) is an action-oriented organization committed to sustainable solutions to Uganda’s most challenging environmental, human rights and economic growth problems. We monitor government actions, conduct research, provide educational materials, develop science-based strategies, organize affected communities, make common cause with other civil society organizations in Uganda and international organizations and engage government officials at all levels.
NAPE works on a broad number of environmental and human rights issues with specific focus on lobby and advocacy for sustainable use of natural resources in the areas of water and energy, land, community ecological governance, forests and biodiversity, gender parity, climate change and sound use and management of chemicals to ensure transparency and accountability for the benefit of all.
NAPE is an indigenous NGO based in Uganda, East Africa.
