Description/notes

NRGI is an independent, global policy analysis and advocacy institute, working with partners to ensure that: countries rich in oil, gas and minerals achieve sustainable, inclusive development, and; people receive lasting benefits—and experience reduced harms—from the extractive sector.

NRGI's current strategic priority is supporting just energy transitions for its priority countries (resource-rich developing countries in Africa, Asia, and Latin America) and comprises domestic energy transition, stranded asset risks, critical (transition) minerals for the clean energy shift, and fair and equitable finance to support fossil fuels phaseout and related energy transition challenges.
