(KNTI) is a community-based organisation composed of 300,000 small-scale and traditional fisherfolk across Indonesia? They have a large membership base across the country as well as longstanding connections with local and national decision-makers which helps in their goals to improve the lives of fisherfolk through its advocacy strategy and ability to leverage data to propose policy solutions.
In practice, an example of their work has involved conducting social audits in Medan and Semarang on the main impediments fisherfolk face in accessing subsidies.
