Description/notes

The SAFC emerged out of the need for organisations, social movements, small scale farmers, farmworkers and NGOs championing food sovereignty to unite and create a national platform in advancing food sovereignty strategically in South Africa. Their objectives include tackling the systemic roots of hunger and advancing food sovereignty alternatives.

Alongside this they intend to provide a united platform for all sectors for those championing food sovereignty and building a food sovereignty alliance led by the hungry, small scale farmers, the landless and workers.
