Description/notes

The Women's Earth and Climate Action Network (WECAN) International is a solutions-based, multi-faceted organization established to engage women and feminists across the gender spectrum in policy advocacy, on-the-ground projects, trainings, and movement building for global climate justice. Our primary work is with women in all their diversity on the frontlines of climate change; in particular, Indigenous, Black, Brown and low-income women and underserved communities. We also experience that it is essential to work with decision-makers in government and financial sectors, and thus, we also engage with women at the highest levels of government and business.

Our programs, trainings, reports, policy advocacy, campaigns and on-the-ground projects are wide-ranging and have engaged people in over 50 countries, and focus on immediate actions as well as long-term systemic change to the climate crisis and the root causes of environmental degradation and socio-economic inequalities.

Registered Non-profit 501(c)(3)organization
