Description/notes
Established in 2015, Malaysian Youth Delegation (MYD) provides a unique, one-of-a-kind training ground for aspiring young Malaysians aged 18-35 years old to be engaged in policy making and advocacy in the climate realm at local and international levels. MYD is the only youth-led organisation in Malaysia that focuses on climate change policy and negotiations, providing a platform for curious and interested youth to explore the world of climate agreements.
Aside from that, MYD also acts as a mobilizer in improving the transparency of the negotiation processes of Malaysia for the United Nations Framework Convention of Climate Change (UNFCCC) and disseminating information to the public. One of MYD's main goal is to ensure there is youth representation from Malaysia at the annual United Nations Climate Change Conference of Parties (COP).
