Description/notes
Sawit Watch is an Indonesian membership-based non-governmental organisation concerned with the negative impacts of the large oil palm plantation system. It was formed with the aim of realising social change for farmers, labourers, and indigenous/local communities towards ecological justice. Their mission is to increasing bargaining position of farmers in the development of oil palm plantations, encourage the resolution of oil palm plantation conflicts in Indonesia and to promote the realisation of better environmental management.
