The Global Forest Coalition is an international coalition of NGOs, and Indigenous Peoples Organisations (IPOs) defending social justice and the rights of forest peoples in forest policies. It was founded in 2000 by 19 NGOs and Indigenous Peoples 'Organisations (IPOs) from all over the world. Their mission is to support the struggles of Indigenous People and local communities by bringing their views, positions, and proposals to the forefront of local, national, and global forest-related decision-making processes.
