EcoCiencia is an Ecuadorian scientific non-profit, legally established on November 23, 1989. EcoCiencia was founded with the aim of generating quality information for making the best decisions in favour of the conservation of biodiversity and the well-being of the population. This challenge has demanded the inclusion of broader, more comprehensive and more complex approaches. EcoCiencia supports, shares and works through alliances with local sectional governments, municipalities, provincial councils, local NGOs and community or grassroots organizations, in search of solutions to socio-environmental problems in Ecuador.
