The PBI team in Guatemala is made up of volunteers from various countries around the world. These personnel have been selected through extensive and specific training, both in Guatemala and on the international accompaniment work that PBI carries out in different countries. PBI works from the philosophy of non-violence, within the framework of international human rights standards, with strict respect for local laws and independently at both the political and religious levels.
