GITIB, Inc. is a non-stock, non-profit and non-governmental organization that was established in 2001 to support the many exceptional efforts of indigenous peoples and marginalized communities to bring improvement in their lives, families, environment and communities. They also work to monitor and highlight the rapidly deteriorating ecological balance caused by neglect, increasing unsustainable practices, abuse and pressure from outside users, which poses a great threat to the life and existence of indigenous and local communities that they seek to serve.
