|Description=Aldeafeliz was born in 2006 by an open call to all people who wish to co-create an ecological community near Bogota. Through a participatory process, its name, its principles, its self-government agreements and its territory were decided. In 2009, the non-profit association Aldea feliz was created in order to deliver the Ecovillage to a purpose that lasts over time and for several generations beyond the personal purposes of its founders. In 2013, the community adopted sociocracy, becoming the first self-governed community with this participatory methodology in Colombia.
