|Description=Founded in San Francisco in 1992, the Democracy Center works globally to support progressive citizen activists in their work on social, economic and environmental justice. Through a combination of investigation and reporting, advocacy training, and leading international citizen campaigns, we have worked with activists in more than three-dozen countries on five continents, from immigrant leaders in California to public health workers in South Africa.
