"In line with the Africa Climate Smart Agriculture Vision 25X25 which aims to support at least 25 million farm households in practicing CSA by 2025, in 2018, the Southern Africa Climate Smart Agriculture Alliance (SACSAA) was launched in Maputo, Mozambique. This Guiding Document describes the Southern Africa Climate Smart Agriculture Alliance (hereafter “SACSAA”) which seeks to is to provide a multi-stakeholder platform for facilitating peer exchange and learning, building a common understanding of contributions to CSA, and aligning and harmonizing various climate change and agriculture programmes being undertaken across the Southern Africa region and at multiple scales.

What Drives SACSAA’s Ambition SACSAA’S Vision A proactive community of farmers responsive and committed to the sustainable development needs of all people in the SADC region and the full realization of smallholder farmers rights, good governance, and poverty alleviation.

SACSAA’S Mission To strengthen, represent and coordinate the work of farmers in the SADC region through creating space, promoting networking, dialogue and engagement to enable the fulfilment of farmers’ visions and missions.
