|Description=The Institute of Himalayan Environmental Research and Education (INHERE) has been working since 1982 as a non-profit organization for the all-around development of the mountain people of the Himalayas. It works as a community-based grassroots implementing agency and takes research and support as required. INHERE has striven to be an open and learning organization believing in transparency within itself and with communities.
