    |Description="Future for Future NGO is a Non-Governmental Organization which since 2016 has carried out community projects for environmental protection and the fight against climate change. Among the projects carried out, we have ""ECOL'ECOLO which is a project to educate learners on environmental protection and climate action, and the creation of a school garden; the African Youth Environment Assembly (AYEA) initiative implemented with the technical and financial support of the United Nations Environment Program as a prelude to UNEA-5 in Nairobi, with +1100 participants and 146 CSOs; mangrove planting sessions for the restoration of ecosystems; debate conferences and activities with young people on environmental management; beach cleaning sessions to get rid of plastic waste. In 2022, with Nature Positive Universities Alliance, set up with UNEP, Oxford University and United Nations Decade for Ecosystems Restoration, we have created the very first Nature Positive University Club in Benin in the largest university in the country (University of Abomey-Calavi) with more than 150 student members who work within the campus to make it Nature Positive. We are part of the leading process of the Greening Curriculum on Quality Climate Education of UNFCCC and UNESCO, and the African Youth Climate Action Plan. With the Pan African Climate Justice Alliance, we implement projects related to climate adaptation in Benin and equip farmers, young people, women, religious leaders and people in vulnerable situations on climate adaptation. We have established the African Youth Network for Environment and Climate Change (AYONECC) which is a member of One Planet Network and we are doing online awareness campaigns on quality consumption and production. In 2024, we are selected by the Youth Constituency of the UNFCCC to host the LCOY19 (Local Conference of Youth on Climate Change) as prelude to the COP29. To date, we have mobilized more than 35,000 people of all categories around our activities as part of our activities at the local, regional and international level.
