|Description=The Coordinator of Popular Organizations of Aguan (COPA) emerged in June 1997 in Tocoa, Colon. We are an Organization for the Defense of Human, Environmental, Social and Popular Rights in the Aguan Valley Region, made up of 26 grassroots organizations including: Trade Unions, Peasant Women, Community (Boards, Community Committee and Water Boards), Cajas Rural, Youth, Women. They accompany victims ttomedical cecentrescomplaints, arrest cases, arrest warrants, trials, illegal arrests, unjustified dismissals, follow-up and legal support to the COPA bases.
